One of the choirs founding members, Ruth Wade passed away on February 15th, 2011.
Not only did Ruth participate in every concert from 1983 to 2009, she was a passionate supporter of the choir. Ruth was involved with many of the choir activities. From fund raiser, organizer of our 25th anniversary celebrations and Heritage Train event, historian, chief welcomer and event coordinator – the list of activities to which she fervently applied herself was endless. Ruth was also the prime mover behind the Choir’s 2009 performance of ‘A Christmas Carol’ which raised more than $2,000 for a local charity. Ruth was always there, and always with a cheery disposition and a kind thought. Her energy and enthusiasm will be missed not only by the Choir, but throughout Uxbridge.
